Consider
We are at war! The enemy has the advantage in this world because men are influenced by evil. Darkness rules the hearts of many. Therefore, conflict is unavoidable. God has literally sent us into battle...but not unequipped. He has given us his armor so that we may stand firm against evil schemes. The enemy will try to take us out, but God’s armor will protect us...if we take it up. We may think that people are our big- gest adversaries, but for the child of God, our battle is not with flesh and blood, it is spiritual forces of wickedness. Only God’s armor provides a defense. We pray in the Spirit for strength and power. We persevere because of God’s strength. And through his power we will also protect others in the body. Jesus has already won the war, but sadly the enemy does not realize it yet. So, we stand firm by the mighty hand of God. Victory is assured!
