Consider

All authority is granted by God. Children are to obey their parents in the Lord. Not only is this practically correct, but it carries a promise to live long on the earth –Honor your father and mother so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth. Fathers who are charged with leading the household in Christ, are to give discipline and instruction of the Lord to the young ones. Children are subject to their parents until they are mature enough to be guided by Holy Spirit on their own. Servants (employees) are to be obedient to their bosses. Not trying to get over or get paid for nothing. Rather each one is to do everything as if it were specifically for the Lord Jesus Christ. Bosses should not be over-bearing or unreasonable. Even realizing that both the boss and the employee will inherit heaven where all are equal. All authority comes from God and goes back to him.
